By plane
Less than one hour from Melbourne, two airlines operate several return flights to Portland each day. A taxi from the airport to the Abalone Beach House will take about 10 min.

By car - from North and East
Approaching from Melbourne, Warrnambool and Heywood follow the Princes or Henty Highway into Portland. Once the divided road merges in town look for the sign to Cape Bridgewater on your right. Following the road along the coast for about 15min, which leads directly to Cape Bridgewater. You won't miss Abalone Beach House on your right.

By car - from West
Approaching from Adelaide & Mount Gambier take the Nelson road along the coast. Take a right at Kingsley Winery 50km past Nelson petrol station. Cape Bridgewater is well sign posted from here on. At the t-section take a right turn. The road narrows and passes some very picturesque landscape around Bridgewater Lakes offering superb views of Discovery Bay Coastal Park and the Northern Cliffs of Cape Bridgewater. At the next t-section take a right again and continue for another 2.6km after which you will see Abalone Beach House on your right.
